Brait Builders Corporation completed this state of the art facility in December 2006. This project consisted of new construction and renovation of the existing Silver lake Regional High School building and associated site work. The high school was built on the site creating an educations campus that has allowed the regional school district to implement many "green" and cost saving measures to the district. These green measures have included a single destination bussing system, a shared wastewater treatment facility, and shared athletic facilities.
This project presented major challenges, namely those caused by the multiple construction phases, allowing the school to remain open during construction.
The existing vocational spaces remained with new academic, performing arts and other core spaces in the new addition. Unique spaces within the school included a Library/Media Center with access to a landscaped courtyard that functions as an outdoor classroom. The Project also includes a full gymnasium along with tennis courts. |
